Have something that might actually be interesting, Which Would You Rather, Brazilian edition.
As we all know, Brazil never had a proper sports car market, but the 90's was when it came the closest. With the end of the closed off military government, a new currency on par with the US Dollar, and the economic stability it brought, automakers risked bringing sporty versions of their most popular models in foreign markets. It didn't pay off, obviously, but several of the offerings from that era are still remembered fondly by enthusiasts, including this boxy duo, which would go on to become rivals in their own right. You all know which one I'd rather, so what about you?
Fiat Uno 1.4 Turbo (smaller engine, single cam, has Turbo)
Fiat Tipo 2.0 Sedicivalvole (larger engine, Twin Cam, lacks turbo)
Don't be shy, I'm asking for honest opinions :p

Tipo tempts me, Uno also tempts me.
Why not both?

The Uno has a look that I kinda like.

Uno. I know it makes me a child, but I want a goddamn Turbo in my life. With a capital fucking T. And I want it attached to a bloody petrol engine.

I expected it due to the other car being a giveaway.

Also, body kit and rally lights. :]

And between the Brazilian version above and the European version below, which would you rather?
I'd go for the Brazilian all the way, the Euro facelift looks too much like a Tiny Tipo, like an awkward teen slotted between the original Uno and the Tipo.

What, I'm genuinely curious! :p
There used to be a guy in my parents' town who owned a yellow Uno Turbo and we'd often argue about boost v. displacement.

Yes! SO MANY LIGHTS!
(I drive a 106, like the one in the picture. Well, apart from the lights. And the engine. And the awesome rallye steelies. And a most of the suspension...)

Oh man, I love those little Peugeots. I recently (recently my butt, it was several months ago haha) spotted a silver 106 in that sweet used, but well taken care of condition we love so much at a local mall's parking lot. Stock wheels, stock upholstery, parked, with both windows rolled down, and zero fucks to give about it. I almost hunted down the owner to ask how much he wanted for it.
Also, one of my colleagues had a change of mind about the Peugeot 208 she got from her parents after I talked her into the racing history of the 205 GTi.

Definitely the Brazil version. Mostly because of the wheels and door handles.

if you want my honest opinion, i'd only make a decision after driving them both.

Good point, actually. I've yet to drive the Uno, to be honest, but, having driven both regular Tipos and the Sedicivalvole, I can assure you they're nothing alike. What might drive some people away from the SV, though, is the unmercifully harsh ride. Not many FWD hatchbacks sold in Brazil nowadays feel as stable and nimble as the SV does, but on the other hand none of them will smash your teeth on a bad street either.

The 205 GTi is one of my all time favourite cars, and I'd be hunting for one as my next car if I weren't:
A. A wuss who wants power steering.
B. A mechanical moron who has nowhere near the level of expertise required to take care of an eighties car. Not even a relatively reliable one, like the 205.
As such, I'm seriously considering just moving up to the 106 GTi. It is, by all accounts, pretty much exactly what I'm looking for. It's just a matter of finding one in decent condition... And holding off until I can insure one for a sane amount of money.
Here's my Pug, by the way:

Yours is just like the one I saw, though it's probably in a better condition. What year is it?

X-reg, 2000. I think they kept making them until '04—which I like to think of as the year Peugeot died, or at least decided to take a long bloody nap. Some of their most recent cars are at the very least okay - the 208, particularly the GTi - but things got dark for a while there. And they're still not as good as they used to be.
(This video doesn't have much to do with anything; I just really like it.)

Depends how much you want to tune the engine....

I was ready to pick the Uno but evidently that 1.4 isn't a FIRE and thus not related to my 1.4 so I'll take the extra power of the N/A Tipo.

10/10 would hoon. Dem flames... :]
Those Peugeots look really good in their simplicity. I've always favored a strong basic shape over a weak one with lots of edges and creases, and I just realized these cars fall right into that.
Unrelated, but I've been really liking Citroëns recent releases. I didn't very much like their last generation models, specially that roudned C3, but the new ones look really good.

Well, living in Brazil, you'll be lucky to do any tuning at all, so... I've no idea which one is the most tunable, but I do know Guy Croft, a british racing engineer who specializes in the Fiat/Lancia Twin Cams, sells catalogue upon catalogue of parts, as well as 8 "stages" of tuning, 4 for N/A engines and 4 for Turbo engines, so there's a lot that can be done to the Tipo.
Which I'll never be able to do because poor.

I learnt to drive in one of these:
I rather like them too, particularly the looks, but I'm not sure I could ever see myself owning one. It'd be a little weird to drive the car I learnt to drive in every day.

Oh well, I'll go with the Sedicivalvole then.

I can't stand the Uno, there isn't the space for me to drive it comfortably. I did think about buying a Tipo once, but plumbed for something a big bigger, so I'd go with that, then (still might be uncomfortable).

Yup, these are the ones I was thinking about. They look ages ahead of the last gen models, IMO, though they cost a lot more than those as well, hahaha...

Oh, definitely: I never liked the last generation C3. But you're right; they are pricey. Ah well, if I ever do buy one, it'll be on the used market.

Out of curiosity, how tall are you? I'm 6" (1,80 m) and I fit like a glove. My "little" brother, who's a couple inches short of 7" (2,03), does as well.

You probably mean 6' :P I am 6', but I suffer from a knee problem which means I have to keep my leg quite straight and suffer with steering columns that get in the way (like in my mom's Corsa), there are very few cars in which I do not put the seat all the way back.

Whoops, guess I do, after all :p
I can't say for sure you'd be comfortable in a Sedicivalvole, but it is definitely one of the most comfortable cars I've been in, specially the soft but firm Recaros. The front seats have a pretty wide adjustment margin, but the wheel is fixed, aside from tilting up and down.
